HEATWAVE conditions to set in by next week (14 March)! ISOLATED RAINFALL ACTIVITY to continue.
⦿ VALIDITY: 10 March 2 PM – 18 March 9 PM
⦿ SUMMARY: #Temperature will rise by about 3-5 °C over the next 3 days starting tomorrow. The greatest rise in temperature is expected in eastern Balochistan (Sibbi), south and central Punjab (Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan and Sahiwal divisions), upper and central Sindh (#Sukkur, Larkana & Nawabshah regions), where 8-10 °C RISE is possible.
In northeast Punjab including Lahore and Gujranwala regions, a rise of nearly 6-8 °C is expected, while temperatures in northern Punjab & KPK including #Rawalpindi, #Islamabad, Peshawar, Kohat and Mardan may experience a rise of 5-8 °C. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM-RAIN & HAIL ACTIVTY POSSIBLE especially early next week.
THIS IS THE FIRST HEAT WAVE IN PAKISTAN SINCE MARCH 2018!

#Quetta & #Muzaffarabad: 20-24 °C (1-4 °C ABOVE NORMAL)Rawalpindi, Islamabad & Chakwal: 25-28 °C (1-2 °C above normal) Peshawar, #Lahore, Sargodha & #Gujranwala: 27-30 °C (1-3 °C ABOVE NORMAL) Faisalabad, DI Khan & Peshawar: 29-31 °C (5-7 °C ABOVE NORMAL) Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan : 30-33 °C (3-6 °C ABOCE NORMAL) #Karachi, Sukkur, Sibbi & Jacobabad: 32-35 °C (1-3 °C ABOVE NORMAL) Dadu & Nawabshah: 37-40 °C (5-7 °C ABOVE NORMAL) Gwadar: 24-26 °C (3-5 °C BELOW NORMAL)A WD could affect between 13 Mar and 15 Mar, which might lower temps by 2-4 °C before rising again in the middle to the end of the week (16-18 March). ⦿ A strong WD is set to arrive 17/18 Mar, which will result in severe weather (strong windstorms and HEAVY HAIL), therefore, a detailed forecast will be posted separately for that event. It is expected to cause significant thunderstorm outbreaks, rain and dust/windstorms and would cause a drop in temperatures.
