3-DAY #FORECAST / #FARMER ADVISORY: STRONG #WINDS of 40-60 km/h followed by some rain/snow for the upper and western parts of #Pakistan.
⦿ On Sunday (20 Feb 2022), strong winds will develop. Mostly #SUNNY conditions are expected. Max winds in the following areas would be as follows:
⦾#Quetta: 30-45 km/h with gusts of 50-60 km/h
⦾#Rawalpindi/ #Islamabad: 20-30 km/h gusts of 40-50 km/h
⦾#Peshawar/ Kohat: 25-35 km/h, gusts 40-50 km/h
⦾Torkhum: gusts of 60-80 km/h
⦾Jhelum/ Gujrat/ Gujranwala regions: 15-25 km/h, gusts 30-40 km/h
⦿ On Tuesday (22 Feb 2022), a WD accompanied by a strong low will affect #Punjab, #Sindh, northeastern #Balochistan and parts of KPK. In south Punjab’s DG Khan’s high elevation areas winds of 60-80 km/h from the NW/north are expected!
⦾ FARMER ADVISORY: In the plains of #Sargodha, #Multan, DG Khan divisions: weather will remain mostly dry with a chance of an isolated #thunderstorm with drizzle/ light rain showers. THREAT: Afternoon NW/ North STRONG winds of 30-40 km/h with wind gusts of 50-60 km/h are expected. (See Map 1) LOW DRIFTING DUST/ DUSTSTORM is possible as result of strong winds.
⦾ In eastern Punjab, including #Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, #Lahore and #Gujranwala divisions South/ SE winds of 20-30 km/h with gusts of 35-50 km/h expected (See Map 1), however, in NE Punjab, there is a chance of a thunderstorm on the evening of 22 Feb resulting in small #hail & brief GUSTY winds of 60-80 km/h and moderate to heavy rain showers.
⦾ In Balochistan’s NE including Quetta, 35-45 km/h with gusts of 60-70 km/h possible with some light rain showers/drizzle. The highest chance of rain is in Zhob region. Please see map 4 for rainfall in your area.

⦾ #Karachi/ #Hyderabad: 30-40 km/h with gusts of 45-55 km/h
⦾ Nawabshah/ #Sukkur: 20-30 km/h gusts up to 40 km/h
⦾ Lahore/ #Sialkot: 35-45 km/h max gusts 60-80 km/h
⦾ Khuzdar: 30-50 km/h gusts 60-70 km/h.
⦿ RAIN/SNOW possible with isolated/scattered thunderstorms along with gusty winds is expected in upper KPK, upper Punjab and Azad Kashmir on 22 and 23 February. At least 2 rounds of #RAINFALL is possible restricted mostly to the upper of the country. Mostly 5-15 mm is expected in Hazara, Malakand, Potohar Plateau area especially Islamabad/ Rawalpindi region, Peshawar and Swat valley areas as well as most of Azad Kashmir. Isolated rainfall over 25 mm is possible in Sialkot/Narowal region as well as parts of Azad Kashmir. (See Map 3 to find your area’s rainfall.) SNOWLINE is expected to remain around 8,000 feet in KPK and around 7,000 feet in Gilgit #Baltistan. HEAVY SNOWFALL is not expected anywhere.
